This Privacy Policy explains how Congero Pty Ltd ("Congero", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use Congero Transcribe.

1. Scope

This policy applies to our website, public demo, authenticated app, and related customer support and billing interactions.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect:

• Account information, such as your name, email address, and authentication identifiers.
• Billing and subscription metadata, including status and invoice references provided by our payment processor.
• Usage and device information, including browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and service events.
• Count-only transcription usage records, such as reserved word counts, finalized word counts, access mode, and session timestamps. These records do not contain transcript words, snippets, or audio.
• Support and communications data when you contact us.

3. Audio and Transcript Handling

By default, Congero Transcribe processes audio and transcript content in memory for live transcription and does not store transcript text or audio recordings server-side as part of normal operation.

We may retain limited technical records needed for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and service operation. We design logs to avoid storing transcript content wherever practical.

4. Enhance Processing and Retention

If you choose to use Enhance, the transcript text you submit is sent to model providers so the enhanced output can be generated. Enhance is separate from normal live transcription and is not covered by the no transcript retention default.

We retain Enhance input text, generated output, selected persona, model metadata, and usage metadata for up to 30 days to improve product quality and troubleshoot the feature. We link these records using a keyed pseudonymous hash rather than storing your email address with the record. We do not sell this data.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the service, measure performance, and improve product quality and user experience. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to collect usage data.

6. Billing and Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers or CVC data on our servers. We receive limited billing-related information required to manage subscriptions and customer support.

7. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve Congero Transcribe.
• Authenticate users and administer accounts.
• Process subscriptions and billing workflows.
• Monitor performance, security, and abuse.
• Communicate service updates and respond to support requests.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

8. Disclosure of Information

We may disclose information to:

• Service providers who help operate the product (for example, analytics and billing).
• Professional advisers, auditors, or insurers where required.
• Regulators, law enforcement, or courts where legally required.

9. International Positioning

Congero Transcribe is operated by an Australian company. We are not soliciting customers in the United States.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this policy, including security, accounting, legal, and contractual requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, but no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
